Welcome
Based in Worcester, Good Soil is a Christian charity offering supported housing for adults wanting to move forward from the challenges that addiction, homelessness, poor mental health or crime have caused in their lives.

At the heart of Good Soil’s work is the aim to offer a home and a hope to people who find themselves homeless or hopeless.
Our two supported houses close to Worcester city centre provide a safe home for people who have been referred to us by other agencies or who have referred themselves. But what sets us apart from many other supported housing providers is what we are able to offer at our farm – a quiet place of peace and purpose where hope can begin to grow and healing begin to happen.
The journey first began with a television series hosted by Monty Don, where offenders were encouraged to work on a smallholding and explore how working on the land could help with their rehabilitation. The project was relocated to Top Barn Farm in Worcestershire after filming was completed and Monty Don had stepped away. By 2012, Good Soil had become an organisation with a distinctly Christian heart and ethos. This resulted in a merge with two other local charities – Worcester City Mission and Word of Life Worcester – to become the Good Soil Trust in 2014.
